Dallas Buyers Club is an drama film directed by Jean-Marc Vallee and starring Matthew McConaughey, Jared Leto and Jennifer Garner. The story of Texas electrician, drug taking, women loving, homophobic man Ron Woodroof and his battle with the medical
establishment and pharmaceutical companies after being diagnosed as HIV-positive
in 1986. With the help of his doctor, Eve Saks (Garner) and a fellow patient, Rayon (Jared Leto), Ron
unintentionally created the Dallas Buyers Club, the first of dozens which would
form around the country, providing its paying members with these alternative
treatments.
